The 28BYJ-48 stepper motor is a small and reliable 5-wire motor that operates on 5V power. It’s great for precise tasks like opening and closing vents. This motor moves precisely because it doesn’t use brushes, and it has a decent torque of 34.3 mN.m at a speed of about 15 RPM. It stays strong even when not moving, as long as it’s powered. However, it does use some power even when not in use, so it’s a bit energy-hungry.
The 28BYJ-48 stepper motor uses a lot of power and can’t be controlled directly by something like an Arduino. Instead, it needs a special chip called the ULN2003 to control it, and usually, you get this motor with a board that has the ULN2003 chip on it.
The ULN2003 chip is great because it can handle a lot of electrical current and voltage, making it easier to control the motor with a low-power microcontroller like Arduino. This board with the ULN2003 has four inputs and a power connection.
You can easily connect the motor to this board using a special connector, and the board has four LEDs that show when it’s working. There’s also a switch to turn the motor on or off if you need to.
