What is AIoT
IoT stands for the Internet of Things, which combines Artificial Intelligence (AI) with the Internet of Things.
AIoT = AI + IoT
-
IoT refers to smart devices connected to the internet (like sensors, cameras, wearables, smart fridges).
-
AI refers to machine learning and decision-making algorithms that allow systems to learn, analyze, and make intelligent decisions.
What AIoT does
AIoT uses AI to analyse the data collected by IoT devices and then make smart decisions automatically, without needing human input all the time.
Real-world examples:
-
Smart home systems: AI analyses data from temperature sensors and adjusts your air conditioner automatically.
-
Autonomous vehicles: IoT collects data from cameras and sensors; AI processes it in real time to navigate safely.
-
Industrial automation: Machines detect problems and fix or report them before failures occur.
