This is a basic text-based LCD that measures 16 characters by 2 lines, featuring white text on a blue backlight. It utilizes the widely used HD44780 parallel interface chipset. The Arduino IDE comes with the built-in LiquidCrystal library, which simplifies control of the LCD. The examples provided use only 6 digital pins to operate the display. Additionally, the official Arduino website offers an excellent tutorial to help you get started. You can connect this 16×2 LCD to an Arduino Uno following the diagram below.
