Many fascinating user interfaces may be created with an adjustable potentiometer. When you turn the pot, the resistance varies. Connect VCC to one of the outside pins and GND to the other, and the center pin will have a voltage that fluctuates from 0 to VCC as the pot is rotated. Connect the center pin to an ADC on a microcontroller to obtain changeable user input!
