Description

The Arduino L293D motor driver shield tutorial is a robobtics project in which several types of motors are driven. DC, servo, and stepper motors are the most popular kinds utilised in robotic applications.

These motors, however, are often incapable of being operated directly by Arduino or another microcontroller. Motor shields or driver ICs are employed instead because to their greater current and power ratings. These shields or integrated circuits separate the power supply of a motor and employ control logic from the microcontroller circuitry.

The L293D is one of the most popular motor driver shields for Arduino. The L293D motor driver shield is capable of controlling up to four bidirectional DC motors with 8-bit speed selection, two stepper motors, and two servo motors.
