The HY-SRF05 is an ultrasonic emitter and receiver that is used to measure distance with a precision of approximately 0.3cm. It emits a 40 KHz square wave signal which reflects off objects in front of the sensor. The sensor then reads the reflected signal, and the duration of the received signal is reflected on the ECHO pin.
