The DS18B20 digital thermometer measures temperatures from 9 to 12 bits in Celsius and features an alert function with nonvolatile user-programmable higher and lower trigger points. The DS18B20 connects with a central CPU through a 1-Wire bus, which by definition requires just one data line (and ground). Furthermore, the DS18B20 may draw power directly from the data line (parasitic power), removing the need for an additional power supply.
DS18B20 Temperature Sensor Module typically requires an external 10K pull-up resistor on the output pin for proper communication between the sensor and the Arduino. However, because the module already includes a pull-up resistor, you do not need to add one.
APPLICATION
- Thermostatic controls, industrial systems, consumer products, thermometers, or any thermally sensitive system.
